By visiting the<\/em> Yeghegnadzor Museum of Local Lore<\/a>, you will see remarkable archaeological materials from different historical periods discovered in the territory of Vayots Dzor Province, as well as a number of unique exhibits. The museum\u2019s archaeological collection is of great importance not only for the study of the province, but also for the study of the history of Armenia.<\/em><\/p>

Let me tell you what you will miss if you are in Yeghegnadzor but do not visit the museum:<\/p>

You will not know<\/strong> about the mysterious history of Moz, one of the most enigmatic historical cities of Vayots Dzor. Located on the Silk Road, the city had a population of between 7,000 and 10,000. Unfortunately, in 735, an earthquake \u2014 and, according to some claims, a volcanic eruption \u2014 destroyed the city. Archaeological excavations have uncovered finds that reveal that it was a highly developed city.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
