May 20 is <\/span>World Bee Day<\/b>, established by the <\/span>United Nations General Assembly<\/b> to raise awareness about the importance of bees.<\/span><\/p>

Interestingly, humans have been harvesting honey since the <\/span>Stone Age<\/b>. A <\/span>prehistoric cave painting<\/b> found in Spain, dating back <\/span>8,000 years<\/b>, depicts a person climbing a tree to collect honey from a wild bee nest. While it is unclear when beekeeping began in domestic settings, archaeologists have discovered that it was already practiced in <\/span>Ancient Egypt as early as the third millennium BC<\/b>. Beekeeping was a highly respected profession, and one of the Egyptian pharaohs even held the title <\/span>\u201cLord of the Bees.\u201d<\/b><\/p>

This time, I want to share my visit to the <\/span>Bee Museum in Geghashen village<\/b>, where you can see a fascinating collection of bee-shaped objects. This museum is <\/span>one of a kind<\/b>, not only in Armenia but even globally. The goal was to create a space that has no equivalent worldwide.<\/span><\/p>

In the museum\u2019s courtyard, you will find <\/span>the world’s largest bee statue<\/b>. Unfortunately, I couldn\u2019t take pictures because the museum was still under construction during my visit.<\/span><\/p>

The museum features <\/span>exhibits from 47 countries<\/b>, collected over a period of <\/span>50 years<\/b>. The collection includes artifacts <\/span>from pre-Christian times to the present day<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In <\/span>192 AD<\/b>, King Artashes II commissioned coins in Greece featuring a <\/span>bee on one side and his portrait on the other<\/b>. Only <\/span>four of these coins<\/b> have survived, and one of them was acquired from an Iranian collector in <\/span>Hamburg<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It turns out that <\/span>Napoleon Bonaparte<\/b> was fascinated by bees, which is why a specific species is named <\/span>Napoleonic bees<\/b>. The French Emperor admired bees so much that their image appeared in <\/span>his personal chambers, home furnishings, blankets, and carpets<\/b>.
